Join us in welcoming Tony Smith

Tony Smith has been selected as the next principal of Cedarhome Elementary School. He starts July 1.

Smith brings more than 20 years of experience in public education, including 17 years in administrative leadership roles across several Washington school districts. He currently serves in the Snohomish School District’s Department of Student Success, where he works with district leaders and school teams to strengthen systems that support student attendance, behavior, and classroom learning. 

Throughout his career, Smith has focused on building strong school cultures where students and staff feel connected, supported, and challenged to achieve at high levels. His leadership experience includes guiding instructional improvement, supporting collaborative teacher teams through Professional Learning Communities (PLC), and strengthening systems of academic support so every student can succeed.

Smith has also led initiatives focused on instructional alignment, inclusionary practices, and data-informed teaching. He holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Washington State University Vancouver and a bachelor’s degree in History from Gonzaga University.
