We’re proud to share that Cedarhome Elementary, Elger Bay Elementary, Port Susan Middle School, and Twin City Elementary have been recognized by the Washington State School Recognition Program for the 2023-24 school year!

These honors place our schools among the top 16% across Washington and highlight exceptional student growth and success, such as boosting academic growth, closing opportunity gaps, and achieving high performance across key metrics:

• Cedarhome Elementary, Elger Bay Elementary, and Port Susan Middle School were each recognized for Growth based on significant academic progress by students in one or more racial or ethnic groups.

• Twin City Elementary earned recognition for Growth in English Learner progress, celebrating outstanding gains made by multilingual students.

This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff, students, and families. Thank you for continuing to live out our district’s promise — empowering every student to learn in a safe, inclusive setting and preparing them for the future of their choice.

Special banners will be displayed at each school to commemorate this accomplishment and celebrate their role in advancing educational excellence. Congratulations to our entire school community for earning this well-deserved recognition!
